This solicitation seeks to fund a training and technical assistance program for site-based grantees funded under BJA’s BWCPIP to Support Law Enforcement Agencies. This funding is to support agencies to establish, expand, or refine comprehensive body-worn camera programs that have specified plans to implement this technology in a manner that maximizes the benefits of BWCs.
The TTA applicant should refer to the BWCPIP to Support Law Enforcement Agencies solicitation and then address how they will support the site-based grantees across the following five categories:
This program’s goals are to provide high quality and comprehensive TTA to site-based grantees and respond to each agency’s individual needs. BJA also expects the TTA provider to identify and compile existing resources and knowledge products that inform and serve the law enforcement community and other criminal justice stakeholder who use BWCs or are affected by BWC use. The TTA provider should also develop resources and knowledge products based on the needs expressed by site-based grantees and as technological, legal, research, and other substantive issues related to BWCs arise in practice.
